Cuisinart Coffee Grinder

Is A Cuisinart Coffee Grinder A Helpful Addition To Your Coffee Setup?

Cuisinart Coffee GrinderThe idea of the Cuisinart Coffee Grinder is pretty appealing for those playing around with ground-based coffee machines.

Why not use this separate device to grind beans to the perfect texture and then use those for your espressos.

This device looks easy to use and beneficial, but how does it actually perform?

The Pros and Cons of this Cuisinart Coffee Grinder.

Pros:

  •  There is a large capacity for both beans and grounds
  •  There are plenty of options to choose from
  •  The containers are dishwasher safe

Cons:

  •  There are complaints about the noise generated
  •  It also seems to be a bit temperamental

This Cuisinart Coffee Grinder quickly draws people in with its range of settings and large bean container.

The best thing about this device has to be the range of options available. First of all, you get to select the amount you want to grind in one session.

You can go as low as 4 cups, which is perfect for people living alone that just want an espresso in the morning or as high as 18 cups.

Then there is the range for the coarseness of the grounds. With 18 settings in total, you can go from a really fine consistency up to something a lot coarser.

That wide range on the cup selector is achieved through the large capacity of both the bean container and storage for the ground coffee.

It can hold 250g in total which is great for those that make a lot of coffee. But, it does mean that the device is bigger than you might expect. On the plus side, you can remove those containers and put them in the dishwasher for easy cleaning.

The problem is that the Cuisinart 18-setting Coffee Grinder doesn’t always listen to the setting you want.

There are a few reports from users highlighting the temperamental nature of this device. For some, it is a matter of the device not sticking to the desired setting.

This fault tends to appear later in the grinder’s life when it is a little more worn out. But, others say that inconsistencies in quality were to be expected with the use of a burr grinder instead of a conical one.

A related issue here is the amount of noise created by that system. This isn’t going to sit quietly in a corner as it attacks the beans for you.

What does this mean for a final recommendation for this Cuisinart Coffee Bean Grinding Device?

A final recommendation here depends on your experience level and how willing you are to deal with the little quirks. If this is your first time using a grinder then it could provide a good learning experience.

You can play around with different textures and get more out of your coffee machine. If you are picky about how you like your coffee and want a super-efficient machine, this could get frustrating.

The Cuisinart Coffee Grinder has its place in the kitchen of a more patient coffee lover.
